What Conny is for
Into the right events, face to face.
Conny gets you into the right events, face to face, and makes sure the people you meet there turn into something. It sits between the people who come to events and the people who run them. You tell Conny what you're looking for and how the event was. Organisers get what they need to make the next event better. Neither side gets the other's private side, and Conny keeps that line.
What Conny protects
Who you hope to meet, who you met, and what you thought.
That's personal, so here's what we do with it.
- Because it's yours.See everything Conny holds about you, download it, or delete your account, whenever you like. Deleting takes everything that's yours, not just your profile.
- Because you only gave us what you gave us.Conny only knows what you tell it. Nothing is scraped, and from an organiser's attendee list only your name and email come in.
- Because who sees you is your call.Every part of your profile has its own level, from your connections to anyone. Your email and phone are for your connections unless you say otherwise, and being found in the people directory is off until you turn it on.
- Because a note to yourself should stay with you.Your notes on people are locked to you in the database. Not the host, not us, not any AI. They don't even shape your own suggestions.
- Because the event is the point, not the list.Hosts see what they need to run their own event, and sponsors get nothing. Your feedback reaches a host only as totals, and only when enough people have answered that nobody can be picked out.
- Because your face and your voice are yours.Photos and voices are never used to identify anyone.
- Because AI should help you, not speak for you.Conny's only AI drafts your profile, and only when you ask. Your catch-up message is built from your own note by simple rules, and nothing goes out unless you send it.
- Because we're a business that won't sell you.Conny never sells your information and never sells placement. When we learn from events, it's as totals, never your answers.
Hosts
What a host sees, and what a host never sees.
An organisation that co-hosts an event gets no attendee list. Door helpers see names, never email addresses. The Conny team sees no more of anyone's feedback than the host does.
A host sees
- The names and email addresses on their own attendee list.
- Who has joined, who's coming, who checked in and who's new.
- Picks that are mutual, for seating.
- Who would rather not be in photos, to brief a photographer.
- The names and headlines of people who follow their organisation, and anything else only at the level each person sets.
- Feedback totals, once, after feedback closes three days after the event.
- How many connections were made at their event.
- Questions for the host, and how many people want each one answered.
- A note someone chooses to send them, with names, contact details and table numbers taken out.
A host never sees
- Anyone's notes about the people they met.
- Who picked whom, unless both picked each other.
- Anyone's own feedback answers.
- Who asked a question without their name.
- Who connected with whom.
- An email address or phone number that isn't on their own list, unless the person shares it.
- Who is on Conny, or how many.
What Conny never does
The lines that don't move.
Conny never
- Sells your information.
- Gives sponsors or exhibitors anything from an event. What that means for organisers.
- Sells placement. Nobody pays to be suggested, listed or put in front of you.
- Charges per lead, or prices anything on attendee data.
And never
- Moves money between people or organisations, or takes a cut of tickets.
- Builds a feed, likes, chat rooms or group messaging, or tracks how long you spend in the app.
- Does the human part for you.
- Runs events where people only watch.
Who Conny works with
Every organisation on Conny is approved.
We check that it's real and that the person asking can act for it, and we ask three more things.
- Does it run events where people meet? There's no list of event types we turn away.
- Will it keep the lines above?Nothing for sponsors, no paid placement, no watch-only events, and its attendee list used for its own event and nothing else.
- Do its purpose and conduct sit with ours? This is about how an organisation treats people, not what kind of business it is.
We don't take on an organisation whose purpose or conduct demeans, excludes or harms people for who they are, one that wants sales or recruitment lists, or one whose events put people at risk. Organisations we partner with share these values, not just put up with them. The same rules apply to everyone, including the first organisations on Conny.
If something goes wrong, we talk to the organisation lead first, and if it can't be sorted, the organisation comes off Conny. Either way, you keep your profile, your connections and your notes.
